Forest Land Enhancement Program

Deadline: open enrollment

Link: http://www.fs.fed.us/spf/coop/programs/loa/flep.shtml

FLEP is a federally-funded program, established by the 2002 Farm Bill, that provides education, on-site advice, and cost-share assistance to help non-industrial private forest landowners develop Forest Stewardship Plans and implement a variety of forest stewardship practices on their lands. The cost-share part of the program replaces the former Stewardship Incentive Program (SIP) and Forestry Incentives Program (FIP) which have now been eliminated by Congress. FLEP is separate from, but complementary to, the Forest Stewardship Program. Application Deadline: Open enrollment For more info: 1-888-783-9548, flep@wadnr.gov. or contact Pat McElroy, 360/902-1603 pat.mcelroy@wadnr.gov
