Native Fish Habitat Initiative-Pacific Northwest Fund

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (Foundation) will launch the Native Fish Habitat Initiative Fund (the Fund) in Oregon, Washington and Idaho in Spring 2006. This program will finance projects that benefit native trout and lamprey species and support on-the-ground habitat projects that help achieve the national goals of the National Fish Habitat Initiative. Who is eligible to apply?
We encourage a wide variety of entities and interests to apply. Here is
an example of the entities who may apply. If you have questions
regarding your eligibility, please contact the Foundation at the email
listed below.

* 501(c)3 registered non-profit conservation organizations
* counties
* local, state or federal government agencies
* tribes
* schools
* soil and water conservation districts
* other special districts

We are requesting pre-proposals for projects for $ 5,000 to $50,000. We
encourage applicants to include matching or cost-share funds where possible.
