The Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment

Deadline: Ongoing.

Link: http://www.campbellfoundation.com

The Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment was established in 1998 by investment advisor D. Keith Campbell to improve
the conditions of America’s largest and most ecologically diverse and productive estuary systems: the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays. In 2004, Mr. Campbell expanded the geographic focus of The Campbell Foundation to include Northern California and the Pacific Coast. The Campbell Foundation funds initiatives that:

  1. close key watershed strategy gaps;
  2. are adaptable to other organizations or political jurisdictions;
  3. are innovative to encourage efficient, economical solutions;
  4. bring about permanent legislative, legal or policy changes; and
  5. leverage resources.

The Foundation does not fund:

  1. restoration/demonstration projects;
  2. education; or
  3. research.

It should be noted that the majority of Campbell Foundation funding is allocated to grantees solicited by the Foundation.
However, unsolicited applicants may submit a letter of inquiry to the foundation via email to Samantha Campbell, scampbellkcf@bcglobal.net, for Pacific Coast proposals.
